There is a symbolic hand gesture that has been associated with rock and roll music since American rock singer Ronnie James Dio of Black Sabbath made it popular in 1979. However, the gesture goes back far beyond the age of rock. Known as the corna or the sign of the horns, it has been used in various cultures through the ages, including Mediterranean cultures, where it was used as a way to ward off the evil eye.

Of course, these days, we are more likely to think of this as a rock symbol, which is why we have brought you our Rock Hand stencil. This stencil design shows the precise hand gesture, with the pinky and index fingers sticking up and the thumb folded over the other two fingers. We even included some lines coming out from the hand to add a little pizzazz. And we laser-cut this stencil in the following range of sizes, so you can find the right size for your needs:

  • 6” x 6”
  • 8” x 8”
  • 12” x 12”
  • 15” x 15”
  • 20” x 20”
  • 25” x 25”
  • 30” x 30”
  • 35” x 35”

The question is what will you do with this stencil? Paint it on a t-shirt? Make a poster to take to a rock concert? Paint it on the wall in your entertainment room? Whatever you choose to do, be sure you have the right paint for the medium. This will allow you to paint this symbol anywhere you want. And if you really do want it to ward off the evil eye, you can always paint it in your home for that reason.

To use the stencil, secure it flat to the surface and paint using a brush, roller, or spray. Then you can wash this reusable stencil and tuck it away or pass it on to someone else. It's durable and will last for years.
