Picture is in Mt Hawthorn, Western Australia. Kept in black as it is a first stencil and only had black paint. The full stencil actually said STOP WAR and has the flexibility of adding it's flavour to STOP signs as well.

fuck doing it in white and the same font as the sign--- this really stands out more, esp. since its on a slight diagonal..gotta love a nice black-and-red combo.. it almost looks like someone just used a rubber stamp... i like it

A friend had an idea of making stickers for the stop buttons in buses: one above the button saying "vote here" and one on the button itself adding the word "war" under "stop".
You could actually give people many different choices: "stop fascism" and "stop animal cruelty" and "stop racism" and "stop global warming" and tons more.

i've seen a lot of these around here, mainly just freehanded though. still really nice. like flipa said, the stop sign can be used for a whole lot of things.

me and my freind are doing a whole line that when we're done will basicly be bush's whole cabinet and a bunch of other shits in the gov. that we are gonna do on all the stop signs we can find. should be preety good maybe...

I think it would be great if you were to match the red and completely spray over 'STOP', then come back and in the same font and white paint, and spray 'WAR'.
...I also think it's kind of funny that this is right outside the paint store...
